Hi, I’m Megan.
I’m an Australian photographer, videographer and visual storyteller currently based on Vancouver Island, Canada.
For more than seven years I worked as a photojournalist, documenting everything from breaking news and community events to elite sport and human-interest stories. That experience taught me to anticipate moments, build trust, and find meaning in the small details that often go unnoticed.
Today, my camera has become a way of exploring a different kind of story.
I’m drawn to wild places, quiet coastlines, old forests, and the people and wildlife that call them home. Whether it’s a bear emerging through the fog, a whale surfacing offshore, or a small community gathering together, I’m always searching for photographs that feel honest and immersive.
I believe the best images aren’t always the loudest. More often, they’re the ones that make you pause. The ones that remind us we’re part of something much bigger than ourselves.
Moving from Australia to Canada challenged me to begin again, to leave behind a career I loved, embrace uncertainty, and rediscover why I first picked up a camera. That decision has shaped not only the work I create, but the way I see the world.
My goal is simple: to tell stories that encourage people to slow down, care more deeply about the places around them, and feel a genuine connection to nature and community.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me exploring another trail, chasing the coast, painting, or planning the next adventure.
Thanks for being here.
